Somonauk Baptist Church
...the Bible as it is for people as they are...for the good of our city and the world.
Somonauk Baptist Church actively supports Samaritan’s Purse to deliver Operation Christmas Child boxes and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ. Donations are collected throughout the year at the church so children around the world can experience God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child.
Our church sponsors a number of international missionaries. Please be in prayer for our missionaries world-wide.

We express love...for the good of our city and the world.
We are called to internally nurture those of our local church body and externally serve the community here and abroad. Every day can be an opportunity to serve!
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Somonauk Baptist Church has a growing garden ministry on the church grounds. Throughout the summer months, volunteers plant and tend the garden to provide fresh vegetables and herbs to the local community through food pantries and individual distribution. Volunteer opportunities are available for everyone regardless of gardening experience!
An exciting outreach ministry of our church, Jolly 60s is a morning of bingo, games, singing and fun - followed by a wonderful home-cooked meal! Open to all senior citizens, Jolly 60s is a wonderful way to spend a morning with friends.
Somonauk Baptist Church, as part of a coalition of local churches, partners with area churches to serve the community through the Fourth Tuesday Community Fellowship Feast. The host church for the months provides meat, drinks and table service, while the other partner churches provide dishes to share. The location for the meal changes each month - watch the Valley Free Press for dates and location!
A manly, 3-day, no-shaving-allowed camping retreat for men and boys. With plenty of opportunity for fishing, talking, faith and relationship building, this event has much to offer. Sure to nourish your spirit and your stomach!
